3 AURELIO FAT IN INTERNATIONAL FAIR OF PHOTOGRAPHY AND 86 ROOM SFZ 2010 FIAP

December 15 opened 86 International Exhibition of Zaragoza Fall in the House of Morlanes, sponsored by the City Council. In this issue there is a shift in the conception, and introduces two categories of art, one free and one experimental. Touring the exhibition begin to remember my collaboration in this event, for example, the layout of the catalog of 76 Hall, in 2000, held in the Hall of Bayeu Brothers, headquartered in the building Pignatelli Government of Aragon. Teresa also Fat, Fat Aurelio daughter participated in 80 jury concluded Hall in 2004 in the House of Morlanes.

The Fat File Barboza keep almost all of the catalogs since 1932, which was held the eighth Hall, and as for those dates and photographer Dr. Aurelio Fat participated as a vocal and the admission committee of the competition. Also in those years, the partners had a section out of competition, which accompanied the photos involved in it, and Grease, as well as participate, we reproduce his work, as well as other partners such as Joachim of Gabriel, or is, Gil Marraco.

The X Room Zaragoza 1934 was celebrated with fanfare, performing one of the best catalogs, which I commented in the newsletter RFZ No. 112 which models, and wrote the following: When the International Photography Hall turns 80 years, a record of these calls, both in Spain and Europe, want to go back a bit to the origins of this event and how it was forged. I have my hands on the catalog Hall, 1934, a true jewel of the literature, both for its content and the beauty of its design and layout, which I analyze as it contains information of great interest ... ...

then published in photogravure reproductions of photos where the 275 authors selected 53 authors only play with their photos, and among them is the picture Snow A Fat, which vowel goes to jury admission classification. With the change of format catalog begin to participate the first photographic society women such as Borobia Elisa Gonzalez, Maria Luisa Jordan Head and Maria Cirino, who with her husband, Aurelio, has color photos of his trip to Italy in the Hall of XXVIII 1952 and playing the first color photograph in a catalog of the International, entitled Lake Como A Fat.

In this blog we present a picture of the jury of admission and classification of these rooms in the 40's, among which are the first ten feet, from left to right: Manuel Serrano Sanchez, Sebastian Cortes Gomez, Aurelio Fat Sancho, Guillermo Fatás Ojuel, "Maria Luisa Elisa Borobia or Head?, Pascual Martín Triep, Joaquin Gil Marraco .... unknown Pascual Nogueras, Lacroix. Seated Almarza Lorenzo, Luis Garcia and Antonio Garcia Pascual Garrabella. Teresa did a study of this photo in the newsletter No 89 of 1998.

XXXII In the Salon of 1956, the young drop appears as a Jury and the Jury Tartón Carmelo admission, stating with the bigger drop, Tartón and Duce. Here begins the generational shift of the photographer, then they are the ones who will be outstanding that this important event photography continues to this day. The last appearance of fat a color photo was Capri, in the Hall XXXVIII of 1962, although Judge continues in the following, and died in 1972.

Curiously in 1998, had difficulty finding a room where they exhibit the works, and then an exhibit of 74 photo Hall Art Gallery Costa 3, in the space lab and photo studio was Dr. Fat from 1927, which revealed all his photographic work and kept there all your file, we hold today. They join in a time of staff members and supporters of this important international event for the city of Zaragoza.

Hall, 86 held today in the House of Morlanes is an opportunity to taste good photography is done in the world today, bringing together in 28 countries subject to experimental 74 authors and 60 works selected, and free theme 35 countries with 156 authors and 60 works selected. There are pieces of research on new technologies that enable artists to push the limits of reality with real issues. In traditional photography, cameras and photographic sensitivities allow for clarity and ambiances make photography an art of communication plastic great vitality.

Francisco Marín Bagüés When is a grant from the Diputación Provincial de Zaragoza to train in Italy between 1909 and 1912, Europe was undergoing a major transformation in the field of technology and research, and political, with the rise of socialism, communism, and anarchists. In the field of art, and Matisse Paris No leads the Fauvism, after Picasso and Braque, with Analytical Cubism in 1909, burst into this world, proposing a way to make and feel that makes the painting and not the same. In parallel, Marinetti published the first Futurist Manifesto in The Paris Figaro in 1909. Later, in Central born in 1911 Expressionism, ending with Kandinsky in abstract art. In Latin America, are also beginning to revolutionize and Mexico with Dr. Alt began what would later be called Socialist Realism , applied and developed in the first socialist revolution in 1910, with Diego Rivera, first influenced by Zuloaga and then by Picasso's Cubism becomes, Orozco and Siqueiros with the parents of this movement in America.

Meanwhile, the young Marin Bagüés, study the great masters in Rome, Florence and Venice, reinforcing his great ability as a draftsman and painter. His interest to expand knowledge, led him to travel to Paris in 1911 and certainly in this city of Modern Art, would have access to all these artistic movements. His desire to see the world and art, leading to Brussels, Bruges, Ghent and Amsterdam, where would the great Rembrandt and Dutch art.

In 1913 he returned to Zaragoza where he established and was named the Academy of Fine Arts of San Luis and Museum Curator of Painting, where he set up his private studio and will teach and perform and archive their work. By this time, I was working from 1910 as a photojournalist for the Heraldo de Aragón and ABC, the young photographer and student of Medicine, Fat Aurelio, who is befriended by the painter and his circle of artists Aragon, for this photograph their works, as the picture of his friend Peruzo, signed in 1913, artistic events, as Zuloaga's visit to Zaragoza in the same year, in order to impose their art in this generation and to vitalize the figure of Goya in Aragón, especially the rescue of the birthplace in Fuendetodos. Of these contacts was born the Great Exhibition of Artists Zuloaga and Aragon, 1916.

currently in Chambers Cajalón Exhibition in Zaragoza, is an exhibition curated by professor and student of the painter, Manuel García Wadding, called Bagüés Francisco Marín, 1879-1961 in Private Collections . Here we see the painter's pictorial journey from his early paintings and juicy with a realistic and popular trend, from 1903 to 1909. His close My room Rome, like its Self , 1910 which is assimilating modernism then apply in posters like the Heraldo de Aragón or a portrait of his brother in charcoal-like photos of Ortiz Echagüe, years later.

As we said, Zuloaga became leader of this group of painters who follow his aesthetic Aragon - which was formally rejected in Spain, - looking at the rural world their traditions, their dress, their tools and their environment. You may also be called social realism, in which the painters who took refuge in parallel with the artistic movements Parisians put their skills and sensitivity to rescue the future this world would disappear with the advance of technology, the plane, car, cinema and the great discoveries. Bagüés Marin gives good examples of rural Aragon in this exhibition.

The portrait painter serves the Leciñena to evolve and is interestingly, after 36 years and nearly 40 years in his work, his mode of its subject, undergoes a change technical and conceptual, and it enters what is sure seen or studied in Italy and Paris, using methods Cubist and Italian Futurism, although not applied in the machine like this, but in popular songs as chickens 's career 1953. The expressionism of his later drawings and paintings update to this great painter who decided to exercise all its plastic qualities in Aragon.

Your ignorance is my perfume

is a book of ... girls and girls, yes, to a race of girls who were born in the sixties. It is a book for women who have lived on the borderline between two different eras, girls receive an education that later had to unlearn, because we are not prepared at all for what we expected.

Growing up is not easy look for a place in the sun either. It is still less easy if you're a woman. Nor was it before or it is too far, even though some things have changed.

The story tells of Anna Llauradó is a tribute to a type of women I know well. It is a tribute to courage. It is a tribute to sensuality, beyond the strictly sexual. It is a tribute to life. But above all is a tribute to love.

One woman, whose name was not revealed in the novel, describes her life while, from his memories, explains the story of his aunt, Irene, who has always felt an affinity.

The protagonist starts talking about their feelings and break huge he had to give his life when his frenetic pace led to panic attacks. A pool from which would gradually more successful and wise.

But behind the veil of his own story, told in first person, we will presenting through his memories of his childhood ghosts that would eventually leading to anxiety. Ghosts that are on par with the close relationship that his aunt, Irene, had with Roberto, an Italian man of Japanese origin.

Irene's story is a love story, of course, but in transit to its self-discovery, to discovery of the other. From the hand of Roberto Irene go into the labyrinth of sensuality perfume made sense and the desire to almost perfect lover.

dare not stand up to a way of life and a closed society, and ended up marrying the "right man" according to social standards.

resigned itself or what is the same, gave up the chance to be happy. He slept his senses, he pretended to forget the perfumes and lived dormant.

Until one day ... woke up again to the world and the possibility to live, to live, the world and life itself.

... although the struggle between desire and fear has been a standard pattern in my life. And in Aunt Agnes too.
All this is nonsense, say at home. But now, face the possibility of folly, not feared and is a good start. Daring is the word: from fear, desire and daring.

Through his niece Irene and I was immersed in a journey from the inside out. A trip to the odors of the consciousness of time past, the present moment.

say that smell is one of the ways we have more in tune with the rest of nonhuman animals. A sense that has a strong evocative power of memory. Who has not remembered by a smell, a feeling, a moment, a story? My own memories of she has a strong power olfactory: the smell of freshly croissant at the bakery near the school, every evening. The smell of lemon cologne that permeated my first classes, which led me to the first written words, learned from that teacher Franco ... Smell of Christmas tree every December, the smell of orange mixed with cold smell of salt during the summer, mixed with meringue perfume, the smell of jasmine in a remote village in Almeria ...

This narrative has a powerful compomente nose. Each scent brings back a memory, evoking an event, an idea. The delicacy of the perfume creates the right atmosphere at each point in the story, as I believe in every moment of our lives.

But back to the story that weaves ...

Anna Irene and Roberto's is a love story. With capital letters, tinged perfume, poetry, innocent sensuality and perverse at the same time. Roberto has Japanese ancestry, it is entirely Latino however, I sense that Mediterranean, by the way they live, suffer and deny itself. Roberto will show, the way Italian and Japanese (not Chinese), which is patience, will discuss the value of the moment. Be delivered to each other, really, to fund themselves.

Meet Roberto was entering the house tea.
"When you want to run, stand, he said, hours after they met.

In the world of haste and speed we all know, that phrase is a brutal clash with another reality that we have been buried under all responsibilities, duties, quotas and goals. Where we have the time to live? Where cornered the time to contemplate what moves? Where, at what point the way we ignore the love? We have made all material on one side, and we head into madness.

Roberto Days after you explain to Agnes that the tea ceremony, the secret is revealed if are. Present. You take the cup ...

The view ... feel it ... You find out really
how ...
know her.
Yes, you know the cup.
going to drink from it ... So you deal with it ...
And suddenly, a simple cup of tea becomes.
"I" transformed.
exist.
Not a second of your life is wasted.

is to bring life to the fullest expression. A challenge that sometimes, miraculously, they manage two souls at once. It is not easy. Not likely. But it is not impossible. Roberto

shows, wanting and not wanting, the dimension unknown verb and desire. It is not voluntary. A very strong bond, inexplicable, is created between them, nothing more known. Irene, inexperienced, has a very powerful revelation that is hardly able to explain:

... and she loved the poetry ... I also needed the words. Not only to write poetry, but to break the silence with Roberto, he was afraid. In fact, he feared the desire that had begun to manifest, naked, straight, when there were no words between them. So I began to ask, to be interested, with some sincerity, but, above all, urgent need.

"The Truth has no more than one way. "is a phrase we have all listened to our fill. The truth is that no one truth, there are many, as roads are opened to the earth we walk on. The road is fraught with pitfalls , of illusions, ghosts and treacherous roads. Fear can we sometimes risk paths less traveled is dangerous. So many of us wrong, we choose the one that seems more secure, which is not necessarily the best.
Irene was afraid
and did not dare. Roberto got to his feet the evidence of their error, wrapped in a moment ...

sweeping
He then knelt before the woman about to lose forever, gently lifted her dress, slid her stockings to her ankles, then undressed her sex and, in utter desperation, sank her lips on the flower, whose fragrance would be stored in your memory forever. That was the most devastating kiss that Agnes would never meet, and he was about to drop everything and ... lost track of herself, like the first time at the beach, and reunited in the arms of Robert, at the last moment, turned to her, once again, the last and, with that glint East, hoping she dared ... But Agnes could not and he embraced her with all his being to confess, to whisper, to immortalize her desire and the voice of his soul, saying: "Your sex
be my perfume. Always. Although we never meet again ...

---------- Have I revealed the end of the story? Not by a long shot. You have to read all that is left for its simple syntax and uncomplicated. Anna knows how to transmit without much adornment that tells us. Can give the right tone to the word. Throughout the book happen memories, aromas and everyday we all know that, sure, evoke memories of their own; there pinceldas tenderness and some irony in the story. The taste for poetry, haikus games, the eternal value of the present moment are combined with a history End pleasant surprise, or not because ... until when we do not dare to be ourselves? Will we be forever incarcerated in prison than is desirable or open the windows, we let in fresh air and live life once and we want? -----------

And here in 1926-28 in which fat Aurelio your new Registration Z-2659 Studebaker went to visit Andalusia, reaching Gibraltar and photographing his surroundings with his stereoscopic camera, and we have wanted to seek their enclaves, but the massive construction of buildings and streets have changed the mystery of this piece of land English.

We evening at Marbella and settled in the Hotel Princesa Playa beachfront. Teresa uses the latest lighting sun bathing in the Mediterranean. Seeing the clear sky and sea summer in Marbella, we are reminded of Professor Pierre Gassier and his wife Maria, and they had an apartment in Nueva Andalucia Urbanisation and those visited in 1992, with our sons Charles and Francis, when we returned from the Expo Seville, show after Fuendetodos Goya's works painted in swirls, of course, now in danger of irreparable harm in the Church where, by excessive humidity. pleasant moments spent talking about art and life, with marriage Gassier. In 1995, after visiting Granada Marbella to be returned to this French historian who has done so much Goya and cataloging. Professor Gassier died in Marbella 2000.

To collaborate in various publications about Goya and the Carthusian in Zaragoza, Morales said items professor turned his attention, like the work of Francisco Bayeu and eighteenth century in general. Years later, José Luis and Wilfred were keen to found a museum Recorded in Marbella, requesting that colaborásemos our graphic work in which he took, which are now part of the Museum's collections.

The presence of the graphic work of Goya and Picasso, are the fundamental references to form a museum of contemporary graphics, they are two geniuses that made their own work on the plate, working with acid and other materials and tools in the making, and very attentive to your stamping workshop and not supported, like others, in the workshops calcográficos eighteenth and nineteenth century, now or private workshops, which means that often, artists who do printmaking, the only intervention in the work is the signature on the paper. The museum takes us through the work of writers of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, Fortuny, Picasso, Miró, Saura, Millares, Matta, and much more. that make the current recorded a creative.

We salute by Malaga our friends in the Poster Gallery and headed through Córdoba Zaragoza, entering the road through the lands of the Duke of Alcudia near Ciudad Real, ending in Almagro, where there is still the only Comedy Corral seventeenth century, and sleep peacefully in the beautiful Hotel Rural Casa Grande.

GOYA ETCHING AND THE DUCHESS OF ALBA, MADRID 1795 - 1797 SANLÚCAR

After visiting this summer Cadiz and Santa Cueva admire the paintings of Goya, we went to Sanlúcar de Barrameda, to know the city and Guzmanes Palace and Medina Sidonia, The Duchess of Alba, where he spent two years, from 1796-97, serving the mourning for his widow.

Sanlucar de Barrameda is a beautiful city at the mouth of the river Guadalquivir, opposite the Coto de Doñana, with a uptown accessed by the slope of Bethlehem, to reach the main house and Church of the Trinity, near which is the Palace of Guzman, now the Palace Ducal de Medina Sidonia, which retains important Archives of the House, part of it is dedicated to Hospedería.

This palace was begun in 1297, when Ferdinand IV granted the town of Solúcar Alonso Perez de Guzman. The building suffered the ups and downs of the history of Spain, and the discovery of the Indies in 1492, the Catholic Monarchs, who wanted to dominate the lords of the ports, married to her granddaughter Ana V of Aragon with the Duke of Medina Sidonia. Fernando died in 1516, Charles V takes over as Emperor and Anna and the Duke are going to live Sanlucar Seville in 1517, settling permanently in 1524, becoming the Palace in the heart of the state, beginning to build the new units, like the house of ladies .... In the seventeenth century and the building has the current structure. In 1644 Philip IV robs the Guzman of their possessions and transfers them to the Duke of Medinaceli who settled in it, moved the files missing important documents and deteriorating buildings. In 1645 he joined Sanlúcar to the Crown, and not until Pedro Alcantara Guzman who inherited it in 1739, he moved with his mother to restore the palace, visited by Felipe V and then by the Duke of Alba, with his wife and his daughter on holiday.

died in 1799 the Duke of Medina Sidonia childless and inherited José Alvarez de Toledo-nephew, and it was not until 1796 that he decided to travel to Andalucia to visit their new possessions, and died in Seville on June 9. At that time, his wife the Duchess of Alba, is with him. He was taken to the Monastery of Jeronimos, the patronage of Medina Sidonia, where he is buried. 4 and 5 September the funeral took place in Madrid. The Duchess widow moved with her brother to leave Sanlúcar Palace where he spends two years of mourning.

summer but returned to Madrid in 1795, in June, where Goya is in his study and will soon visit the Duchess of Alba desired, the a priest in Seville a sonnet flame Venus of Spain, to commission his portrait of the entire body. On August 2 Goya tells in a letter to Zapater, and gives important information such as the contact with the House of Alba, and he paints face, he says .... also named to the Duke of Alcudia, Manuel Godoy, who on Sept. 4 will be officially appointed to the title of Prince of Peace and invites you to the Site of Rome. Talk of interest Bayeu his brother Francisco, going to Zaragoza, but is seriously ill, has been body. Bayeu dies August 4, 1795.

Goya At that time the absolute power plays, contact the de Alba y Godoy, who acquired supreme power in the court and begins his romance with a young orphan of sixteen Cadiz, Pepita Tudo. Godoy protects him, has died censor artistic Bayeu. His art is free, buy two sketchbooks, one pocket, 17 x 10 cm. and a larger, 24 x 15 cm.

Goya made in 1795 a portrait of the Duke sat, which is then converted into a beautiful engraving burin Salvador Carmona, also paints his mother the widowed Marchioness of Villafranca, in a delicate picture with a rose in his chest. Later, paints a new portrait of the Duke of whole body, resting on the pianoforte with a score of Haydn, who was a fan. Finally, the splendid summer portrait of the Duchess of Alba, in a dress of white gauze, belt and red coral necklace . It is noted that Goya is dazzled by the character. Simultaneously makes sketches of the Duchess and their environment, to the water in a small notebook, made two small paintings domestic housekeeper's scolding her daughter, the Duchess, and the bold and Maria de la Luz Luisito of pulling Berganza the skirt of the housekeeper.

These drawings in gouache from 1795 and show us that Goya has in mind the Caprichos , and you plan to do with the graphic art of aquatint , which used the English artists and printmakers to satirical prints and surely saw Goya's house in Sebastian Martinez Cadiz in 1792.

In May 1796, Goya writes to his friend the sculptor Arali who plan to go to Sanlucar. And the Duke had left for Andalusia to inherit in January, giving powers to the Duchess that remains in Madrid. Just moved to Seville to take care, the sick, returning to Madrid for the funeral. Godoy is on his property donated by the Kings of Rome Site Goya and probably moved to the site where he was invited and he painted an equestrian portrait with the river Genil and its possessions in the background, of which he was very proud. Goya then travels to Cadiz for the paintings of the Holy Cave and the end of December and January 1797, there is ill, tells us in his diary Moratin Leandro, who came to Cadiz from England.

February 14, after the defeat of the English ships by the English fleet, at Cape San Vicente, bombard Cadiz. February 16, the Duchess in Sanlúcar of wills, leaving Javier de Goya ten real day both for life, ie, Goya was in Sanlúcar but not in the palace as a guest because there is no evidence in the files of his presence there. What it can be is that he was in the house and Pepita Tudo Godoy had in Sanlúcar, Mercy street corner, and that was to visit the widow of Alba, as on the album are small drawings of scenes of Andalusian taverns and Duchess of black or black. The black figure is going to serve as an icon for the album called Madrid as the protagonist of the scenes that we want to have the engravings, the Caprichos , identifying in Volaverunt and other unpublished Sleep of lies and inconstancy . At the same time made a painting of a black pestle besieged by a gentleman.

When Goya makes a will in 1812, cataloging a large painting of the Duchess of Alba black, in a landscape of a beach in the Coto de Doñana, and License ring is love or a dream, with the names de Goya y Alba, and sand type only Goya. This illusion of possession takes a few seconds, since the waves and wind erased these dreams. Were you really in love with the painter of the most noble and desirable woman? Did he give reasons Cayetana to be made in such illusions two years of friendship and artistic contact ? What is true is that after his deafness, Alba made in the work of Goya entered the beauty and the grotesque and filled all his work Eros and Thanatos. Do you happen to Goya with the Duchess as the verses of Neruda, ... Love is so short and oblivion so long ....
