RIDE ON TIME TO PABLO SERRANO DE ZARAGOZA MUSEUM MUSEUM OF DRAWING 
On the way to the new Museo Pablo Serrano, near Puerta del Carmen we stop, and at the end of the walk, we see the new building of color turquoise and black, built on the old museum dedicated to the sculptor Serrano, in the old workshops of the county council. As you go on my memories begin to surface and I move to the years 1975-78 in which Teresa and I we discussed our work in Costa Rica and Washington and we took the trip to visit Mexico City and New York.
was recently opened in Mexico's National Anthropology Museum, located in Chapultepec Park which opened its doors in 1964 was designed to house and exhibit the archaeological heritage of indigenous peoples before the conquest by Spain. It has dramatically reversed source structure fixed to the central courtyard and designed by architect Pedro Ramirez Vazquez in 1963.
Once in Washington, invited to exhibit at the OAS and then the Inter-American Development Bank, and is hosting our friends and Mirtha Alfonso Perea, visited the National Gallery of Art, founded in 1937 and in 1978 he joined the East Building, designed by architect Leoh Ming Pei, joining the building of geometrical design with the old through a tunnel of great beauty and functionality. Other museums in the city of Washington is the Hirshhorn, with its sculpture garden, where are represented the great sculptors of the twentieth century, including Pablo Serrano. This beautiful place that binds to the cityscape was created by architect Gordon Bunshaft.
In New York is a must go to MOMA, Museum of Modern Art, which was created in 1929 under the sponsorship, among others, Rockefeller, and at that time there was the Guernica by Picasso. That museum also has works by Pablo Serrano. Next to Central Park, is the Guggenheim Museum, which is the most beautiful building to house the work of the twentieth century, designed by a genius of architecture, Frank Lloyd Wright. Is a revolution in this type of architecture and its collection is the work of Pablo Serrano.
In Europe, the museum that started this new way of seeing and Contemporary Art is hosting in Paris, represented by the Pompidou Centre, designed by the architects Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers and opened in 1977.
We arrived at the Museo Pablo Serrano, where we expect Juan Dominguez Lasiter and began a journey through the different rooms. The large room on the ground floor is occupied by the building's architect, Pérez Latorre, where he makes a display projects and ideas before making this work. There are great photographs of the building is made and an exhibition on the continent. There is also a souvenir and craft shops of the old building which still has the original walls. Large escalators are invited to follow the route, and there are small sculptures by the artist which gives its name to the Museum, Pablo Serrano. There subplantar with annoying stairs, distracting to focus on sculptures by Serrano. The next floor is transparent, and that is where the greatest concentration of the sculptor and which has a view of part of his extensive work, since failure to expose a good number of works that artist donated, and I suppose that is in storage at the Museum. There are also paintings of his partner and artist Grupo El Paso, Jane French. The following open spaces now house a temporary group exhibition of artists of different concepts Aragonese each. Not a tribute, is a sample varied in theme and technique. During the tour, there are large windows where you can see the city, eclectic architecture, Zaragoza, whose overall picture is viewed from its large terrace, highlighting the building of the Pillar and La Seo.
Seeing the work of the great sculptor who is Serrano, reminds me that in 1980, in our Art Gallery Costa 3, together with the Siresa Group, discussed the Cabeza de Joaquín Costa in plaster, the sculptor donated to be carried out in stone in the Sculpture Symposium Valley Done. Also in the exhibition of 1984, called The sculpture space, exposed along with other sculptors, sketch- D. Miguel de Unamuno he did for the city of Salamanca. At this time we receive letters and invitations to exhibitions, as he did in 1985 for the Guggenheim Museum in New York.
In this new exhibition, the city of Zaragoza will have the opportunity to meet the best sculptors of the twentieth century XXI, a fellow of El Paso, and hope it serves as a spearhead in the knowledge of art of these two centuries, in honor of the sculptor born in Crivillén, made in America and universal English.
