comes into my hands a book Elia sent by my sisters and Amelia, dedicated to the life and work of my cousin Mireya Barboza, born on December 3, 1935 in Costa Rica. In chapter 3, Mireya tells his life beginning with his childhood in Barrio Luján de San José, and it does the following:
"Within we lived in poverty, most people at that time was poor, ... .... are going to the river where Dad used to take us from children to teach us to respect nature and swimming. Had to take a bus, get to Central Park Tibás and from there walk to the pool. Many times we found people who were swimming naked .... The way of earth and stones that we walk we had very long, but we enjoyed watching birds, trees, flowers and smelling the aroma of coffee blossoms ... .... The sites were beautiful, with sand flats or grass green, with huge trees and large stones from where they launched the most daring ... ... After the bath and spend more than a scare in the water, as from time to time came we had great torrents downstream, we asoleábamos cocks and eat eggs and tortilla with beans prepared by mom (Odilia) ... .... every one of my brothers have stories to tell in these walks, it was lead by paternal tradition runs and when no one wanted to accompany him, was taking the grandchildren or cousins \u200b\u200b... .. In this second wave of children of Victor and Hercules Barboza I was, and practically the feelings and memories of Virilla river pools are the same. Our parents were carpenters, from the Barrio Luján Barboza Furniture, founded by my grandfather Carlos and that for reasons of inheritance, the elder brother inherited. We lived in adjoining houses with common courtyard, we went to kindergarten in the School of Chile and children always had reference to higher premiums, Ligia Mireya as an athlete and as an artist who achieved personal effort to migrate to form in his vocation, Dance.
First Jodorowsky Mexico where he met Bernadette and then Paris, Sara Pardo, touring Europe with his company. Mireya tells us proudly returned to Costa Rica and then returned to France, where they asked me certain things to do in theater. I won auditions, one in two hundred applicants in England. The book has been produced by the Costa Rican writer Carmen Naranjo and his sister Ligia Barboza and edited by the Alternative Design. It consists of eight chapters that recount his work in dance and is accompanied by poems and texts by Carmen Naranjo, Lygia and Arabela Nidia Barboza and Salaberri.
Mireya Barboza is an advanced time with their effort to achieve their dreams, was a pioneer in Costa Rica, along with singer Chavela Vargas, who managed to live beyond his art and his work and as she herself says: I never cared material, so if I cared a lot was spiritual growth.
